A duel-action defensive facial oil treatment. A skin saviour, as nature intended.
“The antibacterial properties of Tea Tree and Eucalyptus help to fight breakouts and keep skin clear but the real hero here is Hemp seed oil.”
Tea Tree oil helps to reduce the bacteria and excess oil production associated with acne. It can kill bacteria and fungi and is considered one of the most effective ways to treat acne, not just on the face, but on the back, arms and chest as well. Tea tree oil contains anti-microbial properties which tackle the bacteria responsible for causing acne. It comes from the evergreen leaves of the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree.
Eucalyptus oil not only makes a superb aromatic partner, this oil works to ease skin irritation and leaves skin feeling extra fresh thanks to its antibacterial qualities that help prevent acne outbreaks. Extensive clinical research into Eucalyptus oil has demonstrated it’s powerful antiseptic properties useful in healing skin problems such as acne. When applied topically in diluted form to the skin (such as this Rejuvenating Facial Oil), the Eucalyptus oil helps dry up inflamed/red skin, blemishes and spots.
Hemp seed oil is a vivid green oil that’s made from the cold pressing of Hemp seeds. It contains lots of skin-loving components such as Omega 6 (linoleic acid) and Omega 3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin E, vitamin A, and minerals. The high content of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids in the hemp seed oil help to protect the skin and repair and heal, whilst simultaneously increasing elasticity. It also contains a relatively large amount of chlorophyll which is why it’s so green! Not only is hemp seed oil an excellent moisturiser for acne prone skin, it can be used to actually treat acne! It’s anti-inflammatory properties reduce redness, irritation, and promotes healing for your skin. Plus it’s anti-oxidant properties help with protecting skin from free radical damage (the things that age our skin!). Hemp seed oil contains a high amount, over 57% of linoleic acid, which occurs in our skin’s natural oils. Skin’s natural oils are often thought of as being bad, however, when you strip your skin of it’s natural oils, this is what can actually cause more problems and breakouts. Our skin’s natural oils protect our skin so it’s best protect them as opposed to trying to get rid of them. If you do suffer with breakouts, acne, blocked pores etc, it’s best to use an oil that is low on the the “comedogenic scale”, which begins at 0 (non-comedogenic) and goes up to the highest rating of 5 (most comedogenic). The more comodogenic an oil is, the more likely it is to clog pores and cause breakouts, especially for those with acne prone skin. Since hemp seed oil is rated 0 on this scale, that makes it the best moisturiser for acne prone skin. It won’t clog your pores whilst it’s helping to fight acne. Bonus!
